The Mickey Mulligan Shot

The Mickey Mulligan Shot was invented by percussionist Martin McIntyre, who has also been a chef and bar manager since the mid-1980s.  One night after a performance, and long after the pub was closed, Martin was inventing shots for The Travelers, who were recovering from a sweaty show.  This particular shot he dubbed the "Mickey Mulligan," and it tastes like sweet almond ice cream.  To make it, fill half the shot glass with Amaretto, followed by Bailey's, layered if possible.  (Alternately, it may be chilled with ice, shaken, then strained.)  Then drink it, and enjoy the rest of your evening singing or dancing to Irish tunes...or doing more shots...
